PacBio + DNALINK
The 2019 HiFi for All SMRT Grant Program is Open. Apply Now!
Three (3) winners, one (1) per region (Americas, EMEA, and APAC), will be selected from all qualified applications by a panel of the Sponsors’ scientists, who will choose the grant application that best makes use of SMRTbell library construction (up to 6 libraries) and SMRT Sequencing (up to 6 SMRT Cells 8M) demonstrating the power of PacBio sequencing scientific research. The decision of this panel will be final and binding. The selected winners will be attempted to be notified by email within approximately five (5) business days after selection. If the selected winner has not responded to email inquiries within three (3) days, the Sponsors will attempt to contact the winner by telephone. If the winner cannot be reached by telephone within forty-eight (48) hours of first telephone attempt to notify such winner, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected, based on the criteria set forth above, at the Sponsors’ discretion. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The application must include: (1) the participant’s full name, email address, and any other contact information required by the Sponsors; (2) the name of the participant’s institution or company; and (3) a project proposal (written in 250 words or less) designed for SMRTbell® library construction (up to 6 libraries) and SMRT Sequencing (up to 6 SMRT Cells 8M). Applications become the property of the Sponsors. The Sponsors make no guarantee or warranty with respect to the security or confidentiality of applications or the application process. By entering, the participant gives permission to the Sponsors to contact the participant regarding the Sponsors’ products and services, whether or not the participant is chosen as the winner.
What are HiFi Reads?

Generate Highly Accurate Long Reads
Produce HiFi reads using the circular consensus sequencing (CCS) mode to provide base-level resolution with >99% single-molecule read accuracy for the detection of all variant types from single nucleotide to structural variants. Learn more about the advantages of long reads with high accuracy.

Advanced scientific discoveries require sequencing data that is both accurate and complete. SMRT Sequencing allows you to optimize your results with two sequencing modes so you no longer have to compromise read length for accuracy.
PacBio is the only sequencing technology to offer highly accurate long reads (HiFi reads) that provide Sanger-quality accuracy (>99%) with the read lengths needed for assembly of complex genomes.
